New Homes Coming Soon in Holmfirth!
11th March 2015
Eastwood Homes is delighted to announce that work has commenced on its latest development situated in Thongsbridge, just a short distance from the picturesque village of Holmfirth.
The development - ‘The Bridges’ - is located on the site of the former Thongsbridge railway station, close to the ‘outstanding’ Holmfirth High School, and will feature 16 two, three and four bedroom homes.
A mixture of homes will be available including 3 storey townhouses, semi-detached and detached properties, all of which will be built to Eastwood Homes usual high standards. To complement the surrounding environment the homes will be built in natural stone, and the area will be fully landscaped.
The company has worked with both the Highways Agency and Kirklees Council to widen the end of Heys Road where it joins Miry Lane, remove the remains of the old railway line, and fill in the bridges at both ends of the site.
Eastwood Homes is also keen to be as environmentally-friendly as possible on this development, and will be recycling a huge quantity of stone excavated from the site to create embankments for the bridges and it will also be used for all roads and driveways.
In addition all the homes are built from timber frames, which provide a number of environmental benefits including thermal efficiency.
The properties are now released for sale with first completions anticipated Summer this year.
Eastwood Homes has also successfully built and sold homes recently on developments in Honley and Newsome.
